Are you struggling with relationship decisions concerning separation or divorce or the practical and ethical difficulties of living with an addict/alcoholic family member?
Perhaps you are struggling with work/life balance particularly since the COVID restrictions, or are feeling stressed and under particular pressure at work. Maybe you are facing redundancy or retirement and are feeling anxious about what your future life holds.
If so, I work with those who want to explore these issues living on the Essex/Hertfordshire border.
This includes people who are wondering whether to stay or leave a relationship or those who feel distressed at finding themselves alone after their partner or spouse leave. Also those who are living with addiction in the family; torn between their love for that family member and the pain of living with the emotional abuse, manipulation and lies which come with this condition.
COVID has made life a lot more challenging for many people struggling to balance work and home life, particularly where there are pre-existing relational strains. You may be very worried about the impact of high inflation and a recession post pandemic; the possibility of losing your job or a reduction in hours with the knock-on effect of falling into debt. For others it might be the pressure of an unrelenting workload from which there seems little respite.
Facing these difficulties whether personal, professional or both, can feel overwhelmingly daunting and raise dilemmas that feel difficult to solve. Life can feel as if it is getting on top of us.
Therapy provides a supported and confidential space for you to look at your issues and develop clarity; to decide a way forward that allows you to reclaim your life and feel peaceful with your choice.
